Solidarity Tour in Lod

Over fifty Palestinian citizens have been murdered since the year began - an unprecedented pace of more than one killing per day.

Against this terrifying reality, on Friday, February 13, dozens of Zazim activists came to Lod, where another murder had taken place just days earlier.

We met with social activist Fida Shehadeh for an eye-opening tour of the old city and its surroundings. We learned about the reality facing the Arab community in the city; we also heard about the inspiring grassroots efforts of dozens of activists who are working to stop the violence and protest the government's indifference.

We are committed to increasing our involvement in this urgent struggle. This is not an "Arab issue" but the result of a policy of neglect and abandonment by a government that treats all Palestinian citizens as enemies.
