This Wasn’t a Regular Anti-War Protest

07/06/25

As the prospect of a ceasefire grows more distant and food distribution in Gaza collapses, the starvation and killing continue. That’s why, on Friday, June 6, 2026, thousands of Jews and Arabs marched together to the Gaza border, dressed in white, to deliver a clear and human message: Stop the starvation. Stop the killing. Bring the hostages home. End the war.

The initiative for the march came from grassroots activists, Yossi Loss and Nisreen Morkos. At Zazim, we helped make it happen — mobilizing our members, organizing buses from across Israel, and working with partner organizations to coordinate the march.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t deliver the food directly into Gaza, but it was distributed to displaced Palestinian communities in the West Bank, through our partners at Rabbis for Human Rights.

We chose to hold the march on the first day of Eid al-Adha — a holiday rooted in the values of compassion, generosity, and responsibility toward others.

Our thanks go to Yossi and Nisreen, to our partners at The Peace Partnership, Women Wage Peace, and Other Voice — who also helped organize the march — and to everyone who joined us from across the country. You are the hope.
