How We Stood with the Medical Teams at Rambam Hospital
11/08/26
In recent days, a racist campaign has been spreading online and within the political system against the Arab members of the medical team in the emergency department at Rambam Hospital. These are dedicated and professional doctors, nurses, and other medical staff who provide life-saving care to hundreds of Israelis every day, regardless of their background, opinions, or gender.
We won’t leave them to face racism and bullying on their own.On Tuesday, August 11, we came to Rambam Hospital to hand out flowers to the Arab members of the medical team — on behalf of more than 20,000 Israelis who signed our petition against racism in less than 24 hours!
Every member of staff we met, Arab and Jewish, told us how much they love working together, like siblings or best friends — and how important this support is these days.
The attack against Arab members of medical teams is not happening in a vacuum. It is an attempt to dismantle and destroy any chance of equality, partnership, and coexistence between Jews and Arabs. But in the face of these voices, there is an Israeli majority that believes in and wants a shared life. We are proud that we came to the hospital to make that voice heard.
Jewish-Arab partnership in our hospitals is a source of hope and pride - and a model to the Israeli society we work to build.
