The blockade won't stop us

On Friday, February 2nd, the IDF prevented dozens of Zazim and 'Rabbis for Human Rights' activists from entering the West  Bank village of Deir Istiya and planting olive trees with the Palestinian farmers.

While settler violence towards Palestinians has increased under the guise of war, with the support of the government – an action of hope and peace was blocked.

But we won't allow the checkpoint to stop us! The olive saplings that were purchased thanks to the contribution of hundreds of Zazim members, reached the village and will grow to be 150 olive trees. Moreover, the dozens of activists that came to the West Bank village, despite the stormy weather, sent a clear message to the residents of Deir Istiya that there is hope for a better future – a common future. Even in times of war, difficult times for all of us, our community proved that it doesn't leave the Palestinians to stand alone and is active for a shared and good future for us and the Palestinians.
