That's how we acted in Homesh

09/07/23

Teargas and stun grenades - this is how the IDF welcomed us this morning (7.7.23) . Hundreds of activists, Israelis and Palestinians, who marched together in demand to dismantle the illegal outpost Homesh. The army also tried to prevent us from going through the checkpoint, but we didn’t back down and we started marching to the Palestinian village of Burqa to show our solidarity with the local Palestinians suffering from settlers’ violence.

The army stopped us with teargas and grenades that started a fire and only a small group of activists got to the village.

In these violent and chaotic moments, I drew strength and hope  from the strong presence of our community and the clear moral voice of compassion we raised together.
